What is billed monthly?

SIM slot rental, the selected virtual PBX plan, and mobile operator services. Call costs depend on the mobile operator tariffs and routing.

What should be considered before launch?

One-time setup work, equipment purchase if you choose your own gateway, and any additional services. A manager will prepare a cost estimate for your scenario before connection.

If you receive many incoming calls

Need more simultaneous calls?

A GSM gateway connects SIM cards to IP telephony. To receive several calls simultaneously on one number, you may need a separate solution.

One SIM — usually one call

The number of simultaneous calls is limited by the gateway voice channels and the capabilities of the mobile connection. Adding more employees to the PBX does not increase the number of channels available on a SIM card.

For high call volumes — multi-channel service

Consider a multi-channel number or call forwarding when the line is busy. The ability to use your existing number, the number of channels, and forwarding costs are checked separately.

We will size the solution for your call load

Frequently asked questions about GSM gateways

How the service works, what affects the cost, and which solution is right for your company.

A GSM gateway is a device that connects a mobile network to IP telephony. SIM cards are installed in the gateway, and the PBX connection is established over the internet using SIP. Mobile calls are processed according to your telephony rules: they can be routed to employees, groups, or an IVR menu.

Yes. Your existing SIM cards are used in the gateway. Before connection, we need to check the operator tariff, equipment compatibility, and availability of the required services. Your number stays the same, while employees manage calls through the PBX.

Rental on Stream Telecom equipment costs UAH 250 per month for one SIM card. Two SIM cards cost UAH 500 per month, and three cost UAH 750. The virtual PBX plan, mobile operator services, calls, and setup work are billed separately.

Rental is a good choice if you want to connect your numbers without buying a gateway or installing it in your office. Your own equipment may make sense if you already have it or want full control over where it is installed. Compare the total cost: equipment, setup, maintenance, and monthly payments.

Yes, after checking its compatibility with the PBX and mobile network. Tell the manager the model, firmware version, and required number of channels. Stream Telecom pricing lists GoIP setup from UAH 150 and setup of gateways from other manufacturers from UAH 250; the final cost depends on the scope of work.

Connecting a SIM card to a GSM gateway does not by itself make the number multi-channel. One GSM voice channel usually handles one call. If you need several simultaneous incoming calls to one number, discuss a separate multi-channel number or call-forwarding scheme and its cost.

You need a compatible gateway, sufficient mobile signal strength, power, and an internet connection to the PBX. If you host the gateway yourself, backup power and internet access are recommended. Losing the internet connection between the gateway and the cloud PBX interrupts this call path.

Savings depend on call destinations and duration, SIM card tariffs, SIP call rates, and rental costs. Before connecting, it is useful to compare your actual monthly expenses with the projected cost of the new setup. It would be misleading to promise a fixed percentage of savings without analyzing your call load.
